In August 2021, UVM student Jordan Rowell began a two-week journey to kayak the entire 120-mile length of Lake Champlain. With local filmmaker Duane Peterson documenting the adventure, the pair conducted interviews to better understand the biggest challenges facing our basin and to explore our relationship with natural resources in the face of a changing climate. The two will present the making of the film, “No Other Lake,” share a sneak preview, and engage in a Q&A discussion about their film and what they learned in their endeavor.

Jordan Rowell is a UVM student majoring in Natural Resources and Duane Peterson is a local filmmaker and programming director for SunCommon’s Climate Action Film Festival
