The meeting will provide an update to the public and stakeholders about State and Provincial efforts to improve water quality in Missisquoi Bay.
Welcoming remarks by Maggie Gendron, Deputy Secretary, Vermont Agency of Natural Resources
Nathalie Provost, Directrice générale, Direction générale de l’Analyse et de l’expertise du Centre et du Sud, Ministère de l’Environnement et de la Lutte contre les changements climatiques, de la faune et des parcs (MELCCFP) will provide a review of recent Québec provincial regulations to improve water quality in the Missisquoi Bay basin, monitoring data, and funding allocated for projects and programs.
Claire Madden, TMDL Tracking and Accounting Coordinator, Vermont Department of Environmental Conservation will give an overview of the Vermont statewide approach to clean water, project tracking and success metrics, and detailed information on Vermont-based efforts in the Missisquoi Bay basin, including funding and nutrient reduction efforts.
Lake Champlain Basin Program staff will facilitate question and answers for each speaker.
