Join the LCBP for a summer edition of the Lake Champlain Basin Programs’ Love the Lake series! Wednesday, August 16th from 6:00 – 7:30 PM at the Barn at Goodsell Ridge Preserve located at 69 Pine Street in Isle La Motte, VT.
Composer Glenn McClure will take the audience on a Music-Science journey that explores “Watershed Voices,” the LCBP Artist-in-Residence Program. Over the next two years, Glenn will mentor three composers in translating scientific data from Lake Champlain into music. During this lecture/demonstration Glenn will show how data can be converted into sound.
Glenn McClure is a composer and educator. His research into Music/Science collaborations include the National Science Foundation Artist and Writers Fellowship in Antarctica, the National Parks Arts Foundation Artist-in-Residence in Hawai’i and musical compositions for the European Space Agency.
