In August 2008, extensive algae blooms formed on both the Quebec and Vermont sides of Missisiquoi Bay and other parts of northeastern Lake Champlain. These photos depict conditions at various locations.
Lamoille River sediments Flooding, July 2008
The heavy rains of mid-summer 2008 flooded roads, towns and fields throughout the Lake Champlain watershed in New York, Vermont and Quebec, and carried heavy loads of sediments into the Lake.
