About Us

The Shore Owners' Association (SOA), founded over 100 years ago (1893), is an organization of Lake Placid Lake shore owners created for the purpose of preserving the quality of the lake shores, the quality of the lake water, the safety of the lake surface for transportation and pleasure, and the general quality of life on the lake. The SOA is led by an 18-member Board of Trustees, all elected by the Association's membership.
